Association for the Study of Australian Literature conference

I delivered this presentation, entitled “Australia’s First Chinese Novel, and Issues Relevant to its Translation and the Translation of Literature of its Type”, as part of the Translation panel for the Association for the Study of Australian Literature (ASAL) 2019 conference “Looking In, Looking Out: China and Australia”. Also presenting on the panel was Haizhi (Elliot) Luo (羅海智碩士) of the University of New South Wales, who spoke knowledgeably about the connected subject of “Modernisation and Localisation: Australian Chinese Language Fiction 1894–1912”.
